No Pedigree Can Save You | October 29th, 2026

Romans 3:21-26
21 But now the righteousness of God apart from the law is revealed, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets, 22 even the righteousness of God, through faith in Jesus Christ, to all and on all who believe. For there is no difference; 23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24 being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, 25 whom God set forth as a propitiation by His blood, through faith, to demonstrate His righteousness, because in His forbearance God had passed over the sins that were previously committed, 26 to demonstrate at the present time His righteousness, that He might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus.

Ephesians 2:8-9
8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast.

John 14:6
6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

The Jewish people of John's day leaned heavily on their lineage. Being descendants of Abraham felt like a spiritual safety net. John dismantled that assumption without apology.

Today, people still lean on substitutes: family religion, church membership, good deeds, cultural Christianity, and denominational identity. None of these can stand before a holy God in place of personal faith in Jesus Christ. Salvation is not inherited. It is received.

Jesus declared himself the only way to the Father, not one option among many. Have you personally confessed your need for a savior and received Christ as Lord? That is the only pedigree that matters in eternity.
