Reading:

Psalm 103:10-12
    10      He has not dealt with us according to our sins,
    Nor punished us according to our iniquities.
    11      For as the heavens are high above the earth,
    So great is His mercy toward those who fear Him;
    12      As far as the east is from the west,
    So far has He removed our transgressions from us.

Romans 5:6-8
6 For when we were still without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. 7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die; yet perhaps for a good man someone would even dare to die. 8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Devotional

David uses the word "all" when describing God's forgiveness — and that word carries enormous weight. Not some sins. Not the manageable ones. All of them. Past, present, and future. Many people live under the quiet assumption that their particular sins are too great, too repeated, or too shameful for God's grace to reach. But grace is not measured by the size of your failure. It is measured by the depth of God's love. And that love, as Paul reminds us, was demonstrated while we were still sinners. You do not have to clean yourself up before coming to God. Come as you are. He already knows, and he already loves.

Practical Application: Spend five minutes in honest, specific confession before God today. Then read Psalm 103:12 slowly and receive what it says as a personal promise spoken directly to you.
