Are You Ready? | July 6th, 2026

1 Thessalonians 4:13-18
13 But I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen asleep,  lest you sorrow as others who have no hope. 14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus. 15 For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep. 16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. 18 Therefore comfort one another with these words.

Pastor Mark opened Sundays message with a question: "Are You Rapture Ready?"

The next event that we are awaiting is one that has no day or hour that is known to man but only to God. It is the catching away of the church to meet Jesus in the air! The bible is constantly calling us to be watchful, careful and hopeful as we await the coming of Jesus towards the earth for His church. It should cause us to live differently and seriously. Yet how easily is it for us to not be ready?

We should be like those servants working hard and staying up versus those who lost sight of their masters return and began to live in such a way that Brought shame to their master and themselves.

Challenge: Take some time today to sit with the reality of the soon return of Jesus! Remind yourself that this is not all there is to live for, Jesus is coming again and let that shape your thoughts, your highs and lows as you go about your day and week. And find someone to comfort with this timely truth!
