His Words Are Faithful and True | August 5th, 2026

Revelation 22:6-7
6 Then he said to me, “These words are faithful and true.” And the Lord God of the holy prophets sent His angel to show His servants the things which must shortly take place. 7 “Behold, I am coming quickly! Blessed is he who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book.”

Daniel 9:2
2 in the first year of his reign I, Daniel, understood by the books the number of the years specified by the word of the LORD through Jeremiah the prophet, that He would accomplish seventy years in the desolations of Jerusalem.

2 Peter 1:19-21
19 And so we have the prophetic word confirmed, which you do well to heed as a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts; 20 knowing this first, that no prophecy of Scripture is of any private interpretation, 21 for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.

The angel's declaration that these words are faithful and true is not a footnote -- it is a foundation. God is faithful and true and so are His words!
God's word does not speculate or approximate. It foretells with precision and forth-tells with power. Daniel studied the scrolls of Jeremiah and discerned God's purposes across generations. The same Spirit that moved through Daniel and John moves through the believer who opens the scriptures with humility and expectation.

Do not treat the Bible as a closed book or an intimidating mystery. Approach it as a living word from a faithful God who means exactly what he says and always does what he promises.
