Remember What God Has Done| October 5th, 2026

Reading:

Psalm 103:1-5
    1      Bless the LORD, O my soul;
    And all that is within me, bless His holy name!
    2      Bless the LORD, O my soul,
    And forget not all His benefits:
    3      Who forgives all your iniquities,
    Who heals all your diseases,
    4      Who redeems your life from destruction,
    Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies,
    5      Who satisfies your mouth with good things,
    So that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

Devotional

It is easy to forget. The stress of work, the weight of relationships, the noise of daily life — all of it can crowd out the memory of God's faithfulness. David knew this. That is why he commanded his own soul to remember. He did not wait to feel like praising. He chose to remember. Today, take inventory of the benefits God has extended to you — forgiveness, healing, redemption, love, and satisfaction. These are not distant promises. They are yours in Christ. When you remember what God has done, praise becomes the natural response of a soul that is paying attention.

Reflection Question: Which of the five benefits listed in Psalm 103:1-5 do you most need to meditate on today, and why?
