Reading:

Revelation 19:7-8; 14
7 Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready.” 8 And to her it was granted to be arrayed in fine linen, clean and bright, for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints...14 And the armies in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, followed Him on white horses
Ephesians 6:10-18
10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 14 Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15 and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; 18 praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints

Devotional:

The armies of heaven wear fine linen, white and clean—representing the righteous acts of the saints. Notice they carry no weapons; Christ alone fights. We come not as warriors earning victory but as His bride celebrating it. Our white garments aren't achievements we've earned but righteousness we've received. This is the beauty of grace: we're made clean not by our efforts but by His sacrifice.

Yet the passage mentions "righteous acts"—our daily choices to live holy lives matter.

As you await Christ's return, how are you clothing yourself? Are you pursuing purity and holiness? Remember, you fight from victory, not for it. The battle is already won; live like the victor's bride you are.

Challenge: Pray through the Armor of God and ask God to help you to stand firm in the battle you are facing in His power!

As you pray, identify which piece of the armor you most need to intentionally put on today. Is it the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, the shoes of the gospel of peace, or the sword of the Spirit?

Write it down on a note card, sticky note, or in your phone and place it somewhere you'll see it throughout the day. Every time you see it, pause and ask God to strengthen you to stand firm in that area!
