The Wedding Feast Awaits | June 26th, 2026

Reading:

Revelation 19:6-9
6 And I heard, as it were, the voice of a great multitude, as the sound of many waters and as the sound of mighty thunderings, saying, “Alleluia! For the Lord God Omnipotent reigns! 7 Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready.” 8 And to her it was granted to be arrayed in fine linen, clean and bright, for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints. 9 Then he said to me, “Write: ‘Blessed are those who are called to the marriage supper of the Lamb!’ ” And he said to me, “These are the true sayings of God.”

1 Thessalonians 4:13-18
13 But I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen asleep,  lest you sorrow as others who have no hope. 14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus. 15 For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep. 16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. 18 Therefore comfort one another with these words.

Devotional:

Two suppers appear in Revelation 19: the Marriage Supper of the Lamb for believers, and the gruesome feast of God's enemies. One is a celebration; the other, judgment. Which will you attend? Believers will be dressed in fine linen—the righteousness of Christ—celebrating our union with Him forever. This is our blessed hope! Christ is returning for His bride, the Church. Are you ready?

Live with eternity in mind. Don't be entangled with the temporary things of this world. Keep your garments white through daily repentance and obedience. Watch expectantly for His return. Encourage fellow believers with this hope. The King of Kings is coming on a white horse, and we will return with Him. Until then, remain faithful, stay in the Word, and keep watching.

Challenge: We are commanded to comfort one another with  the reminded of Jesus' soon return. Send a text to  someone to remind them that Jesus is on the throne, He is going to come soon, and what is out of place will be made right by Him!
