Revelation 21:2-3
2 Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. 3 And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God.
John 1:14
14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt (tabernacled) among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth
Exodus 25:8
8 And let them make Me a sanctuary, that I may dwell among them

Devotional
From the beginning, God has desired to be among His people. He walked with Adam in the garden, led Israel as a pillar of cloud and fire, dwelt in the tabernacle, and ultimately sent Jesus to "tabernacle" among us. Now, through the Holy Spirit, He lives within every believer. Often we may feel that God is far away, yet what we learn through the scriptures is that God desires to DRAW NEAR to us—He wants an intimate relationship with His creation. God doesn't want to observe your life from afar; He wants to dwell with you, comfort you, and walk beside you through every struggle. The new Jerusalem descending represents the ultimate fulfillment of this desire—God dwelling permanently with His people.
Today, pause and recognize His presence. He hasn't left you as an orphan. He is tabernacling in your heart right now.
