Reading:

1 Peter 5:8-10
8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. 9 Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world. 10 But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you.

Devotional:

Peter reminds us that spiritual warfare is not a private struggle. Believers throughout every generation and across every corner of the world have faced the same deceiver using the same tactics. This shared experience is not meant to discourage us. It is meant to comfort and strengthen us. You are not uniquely weak because you face temptation and deception. You are part of a long, unbroken line of faithful men and women who have stood firm before you. Philippians 4:8 gives us the daily discipline that anchors our minds in truth rather than in the noise of the enemy. Fix your mind on what is true, noble, just, pure, and praiseworthy, and the lies will find far less room to take root.

Reflection: How does knowing that other believers share your spiritual battles change the way you approach your own struggles?
