Consider Your Comparisons | September 9th, 2026

Reading:

Galatians 6:3-5
3 For if anyone thinks himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceives himself. 4 But let each one examine his own work, and then he will have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another. 5 For each one shall bear his own load.

Ephesians 3:20-21
20 Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, 21 to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.

Devotional

The older generation looked at the temple being rebuilt and called it nothing compared to Solomon's temple. That comparison nearly stopped the work of God entirely. Yet God promised that this very temple, the one they were tempted to despise, would one day be filled with a glory greater than the former — because Jesus himself would walk through its courts.

God does exceedingly abundantly above what we can ask or imagine. Do not measure your calling by another person's platform or another generation's harvest. Put your hand to the work God has placed before you. He is with you. His Spirit remains among you.
