Reading:

Revelation 22:2-5
2 In the middle of its street, and on either side of the river, was the tree of life, which bore twelve fruits, each tree yielding its fruit every month. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. 3 And there shall be no more curse, but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it, and His servants shall serve Him. 4 They shall see His face, and His name shall be on their foreheads. 5 There shall be no night there: They need no lamp nor light of the sun, for the Lord God gives them light. And they shall reign forever and ever.

Romans 8:18-21
18 For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. 19 For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God. 20 For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it in hope; 21 because the creation itself also will be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.

1 Corinthians 13:12
12 For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known.

Devotional:

The leaves of the tree of life carry a word rooted in the idea of therapeutic wellness -- not emergency treatment but sustained, uninterrupted wholeness. Every MRI, every diagnosis, every sleepless night of worry over your body or the body of someone you love belongs to this present age. That age is passing. What is coming is a city with no night, no curse, no decay, and no distance between you and God. You will see his face. His name will mark you as his own. Whatever you are carrying today, carry it in the light of that coming morning. It is real. It is faithful. It is true.

Abundant life forever is to those who have trust Jesus with their lives! What a hope we have for heavy days.
