The Free Invitation | August 13th, 2026

Reading:

Isaiah 55:1-3
“Ho! Everyone who thirsts, Come to the waters; And you who have no money, Come, buy and eat. Yes, come, buy wine and milk Without money and without price. 2 Why do you spend money for what is not bread, And your wages for what does not satisfy? Listen carefully to Me, and eat what is good, And let your soul delight itself in abundance. 3 Incline your ear, and come to Me. Hear, and your soul shall live; And I will make an everlasting covenant with you— The sure mercies of David.

Revelation 22:17
17 And the Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let him who hears say, “Come!” And let him who thirsts come. Whoever desires, let him take the water of life freely.

Devotional:

The Spirit and the bride say come. That single word is the heartbeat of the entire gospel. It is the same word Jesus spoke to a weary woman at a well, to fishermen on a shore, to tax collectors in their booths. Come.

The invitation is not reserved for those who have cleaned themselves up or figured themselves out. It is extended freely to whoever thirsts. The issue is not about thirst but about where you go to quench it.

The world, the flesh, and the devil are always giving what doesn't satisfy at a cost.. Jesus paid the price for our salvation and calls us to freely take by faith!

This morning don't invest in what doesn't satisfy, run to Jesus for your every need!
