Genesis 17:9-12
9 And God said to Abraham: “As for you, you shall keep My covenant, you and your descendants after you throughout their generations. 10 This is My covenant which you shall keep, between Me and you and your descendants after you: Every male child among you shall be circumcised; 11 and you shall be circumcised in the flesh of your foreskins, and it shall be a sign of the covenant between Me and you. 12 He who is eight days old among you shall be circumcised, every male child in your generations, he who is born in your house or bought with money from any foreigner who is not your descendant.

Proverbs 3:5-7
5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; 6 In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths. 7 Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the LORD and depart from evil.

God commanded that infant boys be circumcised on the eighth day. Long before medical science understood blood-clotting factors or the peak levels of vitamin K in newborns, God had already spoken the precise timing into existence. His commands are never careless. His instructions are never arbitrary. They are the overflow of a wisdom that created the human body, understands its every function, and cares about its wellbeing down to the smallest detail. When God's word instructs you in a direction that seems counterintuitive, remember the eighth day. His wisdom reaches into places your understanding cannot. Obedience is not blind -- it is trust placed in a God whose knowledge is perfect.
