Surrender Over Rebellion | June 24th, 2026

Reading:

Romans 12:1-2
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

James 4:6-10
6 But He gives more grace. Therefore He says: “God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble.” 7 Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. 8 Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded. 9 Lament and mourn and weep! Let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to gloom. 10 Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up.

Devotional:

Revelation 19 shows the catastrophic end of those who gather to fight against God. Their rebellion leads to destruction. Yet many believers fight smaller battles against God's will daily—resisting His commands, ignoring conviction, pursuing their own plans. Surrender is always better than rebellion. God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble. Is there an area where you're resisting God's word or will? The path of surrender leads to peace, purpose, and blessing.

Humble yourself before the Lord. Present your body as a living sacrifice. Be transformed by renewing your mind with His Word. And watch the will of God unfold in your life.Victory comes through yielding, not fighting.

Challenge: Beware of hardening your heart towards the Holy Spirit, today if there is an area that you have been ignoring or afraid of, pray for the grace from the Holy Spirit to say yes to Gods leading and walk in it today. Sometimes, it starts with a simple "Yes" or "No" and the Lord will lead you where you never thought you could go.
