1 Peter 2:9-10
9 But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; 10 who once were not a people but are now the people of God, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy.

God told Zerubbabel that he was chosen — not random, not forgotten, not insignificant. He was made like a signet ring, carrying the authority and purpose of God into his generation. That same truth belongs to every believer today. You have been called out of darkness into marvelous light. You have been sealed with the Holy Spirit, appointed to your corner of the kingdom, and sent to declare that Jesus Christ died and rose again. Where you are is not an accident. The work before you is not insignificant. You are chosen.

Press forward without fear, without comparison, without complacency — God himself is with you.
