Greeting Calvary Family,
We hope and pray everyone is trusting in The Lord as we adjust to this new normal. The elders, staff and ministry leaders want you to know that you are missed! Times like these we are reminded that the church isn’t a building; IT’S US, the Body of Christ! Though we are so very thankful for our building, it is the church family that we all miss! We are looking forward to being reunited with you all very soon!
Based on the guidance provided by our state representatives we are pushing the pause button on activities through mid-April. Our baptism service has been moved to Sunday, May 31st. Lord willing, we will have our traditional potluck/BBQ directly after service. Stay tuned for more information. We will have a special broadcast for Good Friday (Fri, April 10) & Easter Service (Sun, April 12)- more info to follow. Praise God for technology!
Though we miss our church family deeply, we are super excited to keep the church family connected through online interactions utilizing a platform we’re calling “Calvary at Home.” Calvary at Home (http://ccfred.org/calvary-at-home) is simply a central hub for all of our social media and streaming sites that we have placed right on our website, CCfred.org. Once you click the Calvary At Home tab on the website you will be connected to all of the various platforms.
*Worship Services: Sun (9am) & Wed (7pm) services will be broadcast each week. You’ll find instructions and links to access each service and you’ll be able to watch them again once they are over.
*Exalt Youth: Stay up to date with the various virtual events. Our youth team will host weekly online video gatherings using the ZOOM app. Seth, Bobbie and their team will host teachings, special guests, and small group discussions.
*Calvary Kids: The team has assembled a Virtual Sunday School for our students! They will post weekly videos, worship videos, coloring pages, and activity sheets, to help reinforce the video lesson. They’ll be rolling out a fun incentive system!
*Men’s & Women’s Ministry: We will host virtual teaching sessions and post them to our various platforms assessable through Calvary at Home tab on the website. We will also host interactive small group video sessions via the ZOOM app. If you would like to be added to the email list please send an email to [email protected]
*Giving: Tithes and offerings can be given securely here on a one-time or recurring basis.
A couple additional points before signing off:
*Communion: We will add the Lord’s Supper to each Wed evening so be sure to stock up on the elements and tune in on Wed evenings at 7pm. Matzo bread can be found in most grocery stores in the international section but feel free to be creative.
*Social Media: First we want to encourage you to invite your friends and family to watch online. You can host a “watch party” on Facebook which will alert your friends to the service. Secondly, we’d love to see your wonderful faces. Post a picture of your online worship experience to your social media accounts with the hashtag #CCFREDATHOME. We will capture and repost them on our FB page.
Again, we want to encourage the church family to trust the Lord, pray and to take the proper precautions. Please, remain sensitive to special ministry opportunities during this season. If there are needs or prayer requests please contact us at [email protected] We remain the hands and feet of Jesus and will continue to minister in His name.
You are loved and prayed for!
Elders Mark, Matt, Tom & Gregg
