The Prelude To The Bowl Judgments | Revelation 15

Mar 22, 2026    Pastor Mark Ramirez

We find ourselves standing at the threshold of divine judgment in Revelation 15, a powerful chapter that serves as the calm before the ultimate storm. This passage reveals the seven last plagues that will complete God's wrath upon the earth, yet it does so in a way that reminds us of both His holiness and His mercy. The imagery is striking: tribulation saints standing on a sea of glass mingled with fire, holding harps and singing praises to God even as judgment prepares to fall. What's remarkable here is the dual nature of what we're witnessing—while God's righteous judgment is about to be unleashed on those who rejected Him, those who remained faithful during the darkest period of human history are celebrating their victory. They sing the song of Moses and the Lamb, connecting the Old Testament deliverance from Egypt with the New Testament deliverance from sin through Jesus Christ. This reminds us that throughout all of Scripture, God's character remains consistent: He is both just and merciful, holy and loving. For us today, this passage serves as a sobering reminder that our decisions about Christ have eternal consequences, but also as an encouragement that God's promises are sure and His victory is certain. We don't study these prophecies to live in fear, but to live with urgency, sharing the gospel with those who haven't yet accepted the free gift of salvation that Christ offers.
