While all sins separate us from God, are some sins worse than other sins? Is homosexuality worse because there is a “turning them over” that is repeated in Romans 1? If some sins are worse then are some punishments in hell worse for the greatest unrepentant sinners? Thanks.

Why do the NIV and the RSV omit Matthew 17:21? The KJV has Matt 17:21. These demons are cast out only by prayer and fasting.

1 Corinthians 11:27 states “Whoever, therefore, eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty concerning the body and blood of the Lord.” 1 Corinthians 11:29-30 states, “For anyone who eats and drinks without discerning the body eats and drinks judgment on himself. That is why many of you are weak and ill, and some have died.” Is the body in this second verse referring to Christ’s body? Is the judgment always in the form of sickness or death?

During the summer series on Cults and False Teachings, one of the elders warned against some practices coming out of the NAR, especially churches like Bethel. Yet we still use songs from Bethel and other like churches and seem to validate them and their teachings. This seems inconsistent. Shouldn’t the church leadership be willing to take a stronger stand against error?
