Sunday School
Focus: Worship
Time: 11:30am-1:00pm
Location: Main Sanctuary/Youth Center
Who: Junior & Senior High students
This time begins in the Main Sanctuary at 11:30am with a time of praise and worship in song and giving. Then, the students proceed across Potomac Avenue to the CCFred Youth Center. The students are taught verse-by-verse through the Bible. Age appropriate issues pertaining to youth culture are expounded upon in light of what the Bible teaches. During Sunday School, students are given a note sheet that accompanies the teaching and provides several related scripture verses, which we encourage them to review during the week.
The first Sunday of each month is called Discipleship Sunday, where we focus on one aspect of maturing in our faith in Jesus Christ. There are twelve discipleship topics, which are re-taught be various leaders each year. By the time students have completed high school, they have heard these teachings and applications several times. It is our prayer that they are well-grounded and growing in their faith when they graduate and move on.

Wednesday Night Together
Focus: Fellowship, Discipleship
Time: Wednesdays @ 6:30pm-8:00pm
Location: CCFred Youth Center
Who: Junior & Senior High Students
We meet together at 6:30pm every Wednesday in the Youth Center with a variety of food, drinks and activities. After students have had time to greet each other and mingle, we move into the teaching room for a time of student-led praise and worship (6:45pm). From there (7:00pm), we break up into pre-designated same-sex small groups for a time fo discussion (usually lasting one hour.)
We have worked our way through several books of the Bible as we read the Scripture and discuss how it applies to our everyday lives. We will occasionally break from our normal format to do some follow-up from the previous Sunday's teaching ("Get A Little Closer"), as well as engage in a study of a book pertaining to Christian life. During the small groups, we also have a time for sharing prayer requests, and we end the time in small groups with group prayer.
This is an opportunity for students to experience true Christian fellowship as they build relationships, encourage one another, hold each other accountable, and urge each other along in their walks with Christ.
